Owls Travel to Rider Before Returning Home to Host UMass Lowell

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's lacrosse will play another split week, starting with an away matchup at Rider on Wednesday at 3 p.m., before returning home to Howarth Field to face UMass Lowell on Saturday at noon.

OWLS IN THE NEST
The Owls are coming off back-to-back double-digit victories. In those two games, freshman Brooke Mazzei recorded eight draw controls, including a career-high five against American. She also tallied her second goal of the season against Saint Joseph's and added an assist.

Sabrina Martin registered five goals across the two contests, including her second hat trick of the season. She currently leads the conference and ranks ninth nationally in caused turnovers per game (10) and is a perfect 3-for-3 on free-position attempts this season.

Lexi Culp recorded her third consecutive hat trick and posted a career-high four goals in the win over Saint Joseph's. She leads the conference in goals (10) and points (16) and ranks fourth in assists (6). Nationally, Culp sits 12th in goals and ninth in points. Two of her goals against American came in the second half, when Temple outscored the Eagles 8–3.

Goalkeeper Riley Horoshko faced 12 shots in the first half against Saint Joseph's, making nine saves and posting a .750 save percentage. She finished the game with a career-high 14 saves and currently leads the conference in save percentage.

SCOUTING RIDER
Rider is coming off a 14–10 loss to Rhode Island. Maggie Hance led the Broncos with five goals in the contest. Through two games, Marissa Ross has totaled 16 draw controls.

Wednesday's matchup will mark the second all-time meeting between Temple and Rider. The Owls lead the series 1–0 after earning a 15–12 victory last season.

SCOUTING UMASS LOWELL
UMass Lowell most recently fell to No. 15 Yale after earning wins over Merrimack and Manhattan. Through three games, 11 different River Hawks have scored, led by Chloe Bowers with nine goals.

Saturday's contest will mark the first-ever meeting between Temple and UMass Lowell.
