Men's Golf Finishes Competition in Puerto Rico

DORADO, Puerto Rico - Sophomore Mason Tomé put together an even-par 72 and led the Temple men's golf team on the final day of the Dorado Beach Collegiate on Tuesday. Tomé's round was the best of any Temple individual for the three-day event, as the Owls put together their best team round of the tournament.

- Tomé carded three birdies and 13 pars on his final round, which moved him up six spots into a tie for 44th individually.
- Freshman Nicholas Pisarski, who led Temple in each of the first two rounds, had another strong round with a one-over 73 and closed in a tie for 39th.
- Tomé had the best front nine of any Owl, shooting one-under par 35, while Pisarski posted a one-under par 35 on the back nine of the Dorado Beach Resort & Club East Course.
- As a team, the top four Temple finishers totaled an even-par 144 on the final nine holes of the course, as senior Jake Naese and sophomore William Jun were even par on the backside.
- Playing as an individual, junior Ben Saggers matched Pisarski's one-over round of 73, and had the second-best front nine score of the day (36).
- Stetson built upon its second-round lead and won the team event by eight strokes over Southern Miss.
- Stetson's Matthis Lefevre earned medalist honors with a one-stroke victory over teammate Gaspar Glaudas.
- The Owls return to action on March 9-10 with the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate in South Carolina.
