Temple Owls women's basketball (12-14, 6-8 American) defeated the Memphis Tigers women's basketball (8-19, 2-12 American), 65-62, at home on Sunday afternoon.
Saniyah Craig led the team with 17 points, going 6-for-13 from the field. She also grabbed 10 rebounds, marking her fourth double-double of the season.
Savannah Curry contributed 11 points, shooting 5-for-13 from the field.
In games decided by five points or fewer, Temple has won five of its seven contests.
Brianna Mead tied her season high with four assists in the win over Memphis.
Felicia Jacobs recorded a career-high nine rebounds, eight of which were defensive.
Kaylah Turner and Saniyah Craig are Temple's top scorers in conference play. Turner leads with 15.1 points per game, while Craig is averaging 13.8.

Scouting the Owls

Rice Owls women's basketball enters the game on a 19-game winning streak, the second longest in program history (21 games in 2018-19). The Owls have not lost since Nov. 28, when they fell to the UCF Knights women's basketball, 57-56. Rice is first in the American with a 14-0 conference record and sits at 24-3 overall.
In their most recent game, Rice defeated the East Carolina Pirates women's basketball, who sit directly behind them in the conference standings, 60-58. Dominique Ennis hit a corner three-pointer with 12 seconds remaining in regulation to secure the win.
Ennis leads the team with 347 total points (12.9 per game). Her 73 three-pointers are a team high and rank third in the American. Her 123 field goals are second-most on the team.
Shelby Hayes is second on the team in scoring with 333 points (12.3 per game) and leads the squad with 124 field goals. Hailey Adams leads the team in rebounds (312), assists (94), turnovers (76), and blocks (45).

Jaleesa Molina, Tristen Taylor, and Kaylah Turner have been named team captains for the 2025–26 season.
Taylor and Molina are the only returning starters from the 2024–25 roster.
Taylor averaged 6.7 points and a team-high 3.6 assists per game last season.
Molina averaged 7.4 points and seven rebounds per game while shooting 52.5% from the field.
Turner appeared in 31 games (two starts), averaging 10.1 points per game—third-highest on the team—while shooting 41% from the field and 37% from three-point range.
