BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Temple women's basketball (13–15, 7–9 American) soared past the UAB Blazers (10–18, 3–13 American), capturing an 86-57 victory, on Saturday afternoon in Birmingham. Kaylah Turner led Temple with 26 points after shooting 10-for-14 from the field. Turner also went 6-for-9 from behind the arc. Sayniah Craig added 16 points, going 6-for-9 from the field.

How It Happened
First Quarter

The Owls wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as Kaylah Turner hit a three-pointer just nine seconds into the game.
Tristen Taylor answered with a three-pointer of her own, making it a 6–0 lead for the Owls.
Temple hit its third straight three-pointer to make it 9–0 with 8:48 left in the opening quarter.
Cali Smallwood ended the scoring drought for UAB with a layup, making it 9–2 Temple.
Jaleesa Molina knocked down a three from the corner to give the Owls a double-digit lead, 14–4.
Jordan Rosier converted a shot from behind the arc to bring the Blazers within seven, 14–7.
UAB committed six turnovers in a span of 4:12 while also enduring a scoring drought of 2:13.
The Owls struggled from the field, going 1-for-7 until back-to-back buckets from Savannah Curry.
