TAMPA, Fla. – The Temple women's basketball team (13-16, 7-10 American) fell to the USF Bulls (19-11, 12-5 American) on the road Tuesday evening, 82-36. Tristen Taylor led the Owls with 11 points (3-for-8 FG). The loss marks the lowest-scoring game for the Owls this season.

How It Happened
First Quarter

The Owls took an early 5-0 lead after Kaylah Turner drained a three just 22 seconds into the contest.
South Florida responded with a 5-0 run of its own to tie the game with 7:57 left in the quarter.
After Turner's basket, the Owls went 0-for-4 from the field and endured a scoring drought of more than 2:42.
Edyn Battle converted a layup to give the Bulls their first lead of the game, 7-5.
L'or Mputu extended the run to 11 straight points for USF, pushing the lead to 11-5.
Temple continued to struggle offensively, committing four straight turnovers and going 0-for-8 from the floor during a scoring drought that lasted more than 6:40.
Carla Brito hit a three to give USF a 16-5 lead with 2:44 remaining in the opening quarter.
Tristen Taylor ended the scoring drought with a free throw, making it 16-6.
Temple finished the first quarter 0-for-15 from the floor following Turner's basket and committed five turnovers during that stretch. USF took a 17-6 lead into the second quarter.

Second Quarter

At the 8:20 mark of the second quarter, Drew Alexander made Temple's first field goal since the 9:38 mark of the first quarter, bringing the Owls within 14, 22-8.

Fourth Quarter

South Florida opened the final quarter with back-to-back threes to extend the lead to 73-26.
