Temple women's basketball pulled out an overtime thriller Saturday evening, defeating the Tulane Green Wave, 67-65, in New Orleans.
Kaylah Turner led the Owls with 27 points, shooting 10-for-17 from the field and 3-for-5 from beyond the arc. With her second-quarter three-pointer, Turner eclipsed 1,000 points for her collegiate career.
Jaleesa Molina finished with nine points while adding 13 rebounds, three assists, and four steals.
Saniyah Craig contributed 16 points, eight rebounds, and three steals.
All five Temple starters recorded multiple steals in the 67-65 win over Tulane.
Temple (26-for-71) outshot Tulane (25-for-64) and improved to 8-0 on the season when shooting a higher percentage than its opponent.
Temple's last three wins have been decided by three points or fewer.
The Owls are now 9-3 when scoring 65 points or more after recording 67 points against Tulane.

Scouting the Mean Green

North Texas enters the matchup as the fifth-best team in the American Athletic Conference, holding an overall record of 12-10 and a 6-4 mark in league play. Last season, UNT finished second in the conference and was picked sixth in this year's preseason poll.
