Men's Tennis Set for Four-Match Swing in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. -Â The Temple men's tennis team is set to travel for a four-match trip, facing North Carolina A&T, Sacred Heart, St. Bonaventure, and Barry. The Owls are coming off their first win of the season after defeating Morgan State 5-2.
Scouting Temple
• Temple secured its first win of the season with a 5-2 home victory over Morgan State, capturing the doubles point behind wins from Lance Cochran and Pranav Nemani 6-3, and Alberto Blumenschein and Oliver Aguilar, 7-6 in the opener.
• In singles play, Aayush Bhat, Alberto Blumenschein, Pranav Nemani, and Oliver Aguilar each earned points, with Bhat and Blumenschein winning in straight sets and Nemani adding another two-set victory.
• Aguilar clinched a hard-fought three-set battle, defeating Majdi Ben Abdelwahed 7-6, 4-6, 7-4 to help seal the 5-2 team win.
Scouting Opponents
- North Carolina A&T: The Aggies arrive in Orlando with a perfect 4-0 with wins against Belmont, Montreat College, USC Sumter, and Shaw. Head Coach Dejon Bivens is in his fifth season at the helm in Greensboro.
- Sacred Heart: Sacred Heart enters play holding a 0-7 record. The Pioneers finished 2025 with a 4-13 mark.
- St. Bonaventure: The Bonnies arrive in the Sunshine State with a 0-10 record, finishing the previous campaign 1-18.
- Barry: Barry holds a perfect 10-0 record. Head Coach Avi Kigel is in his 18th season as the Director of Tennis, and only his second as the head of the men's team. He helped the team put together a 21-4 record in 2025.
