Owls Set for First Conference Road Challenge at ECU

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's lacrosse will travel to Greenville, North Carolina, for its first conference road test of the season on Saturday, March 21. First draw is set for 11 a.m.

OWLS IN THE NEST 
Temple is coming off a narrow 11–10 loss to South Florida in a back-and-forth contest that featured more than five ties. Amelia Wright, Sabrina Martin, and Kali Saito each recorded two goals to lead the Owls offensively.

On the defensive end, Temple forced 12 turnovers, with Kaitlyn Stankavage leading the way with three caused turnovers. The Owls rank second in the conference and 22nd nationally in caused turnovers, averaging 10 per game.

Temple has also been strong in goal, ranking fifth nationally in save percentage (50.5). Senior goalkeeper Riley Horoshko leads the effort, sitting third nationally in save percentage (.542) and ninth in total saves (84).

SCOUTING ECU 
East Carolina is coming off a 16–10 loss to James Madison, in which the Pirates scored five goals in the fourth quarter.

ECU's offense is led by Kayla Wilkes and Sarah Goodison, who have each tallied 14 goals this season. Both players recorded two goals in their most recent outing. Wilkes also leads the team in caused turnovers with 17, while Emma Magazu paces the Pirates with 25 ground balls.

Temple leads the all-time series 7–1, though the Owls fell in last season's meeting, 11–10 in overtime.

Temple will remain on the road, traveling to Harrisonburg, Virginia, to face James Madison on Saturday, March 28. First draw is scheduled for noon.
