Pisarski Leads Temple on Day One of Cutter Creek Intercollegiate

SNOW HILL, N.C. - Freshman Nicholas Pisarski carded a one-under par 71 to lead the Temple University men's golf team on the opening day of the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate. The Owls are currently tied with Presbyterian and Old Dominion for eighth place as a team.

- Pisarski opened his round with back-to-back birdies and made the turn at even-par 36, before he unleashed a furious stretch of play at the start of his back nine.
- The freshman registered three straight birdies to move to three-under par on his round before a hiccup on the 13th hole brought him back two strokes.
- He closed even over the final five holes to move into 18th place individually heading into day two.
- Senior Jake Naese and sophomore William Jun were two shots behind Pisarski at one-over par 73, while senior Aidan Emmerich is a shot behind them at 74.
- Jun tallied four birdies on his round, while Naese and Emmerich each recorded three.
- Elon leads the team competition by one shot over Campbell, with East Carolina in third place just two shots off the pace.
- The second round of the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate will take place on Saturday, March 28, with the Owls set to tee off at 8:54 a.m.
