Women’s Rowing Starts 2026 Spring Season Strong

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple Owls women's rowing wrapped up the first event of the spring season on their home course, the Schuylkill River at the Temple Invite. The Owls welcomed MAC Conference member Delaware, along with Georgetown, Navy, Monmouth, Fordham, and La Salle to Philadelphia. The conditions were cold, but skies were clear and the sun shined bright.
The Owls made great progress in this the first event of the spring, showing up and showing out in multiple races. Temple finished within the top three in five races throughout the day, notably the varsity eight boat. The V8 finished in second place in the morning posting a time of 6:31.51 and third in the afternoon with a 6:35.32. In both races, the Owls were able to finish before fellow MAC competitor Delaware. In fact, Temple finished before the Blue Hens in the V4 and second V8.

The Owls will travel down to Virginia Beach, Va. Next Saturday, April 4 for a dual race with Old Dominion.
