Women’s Rowing to Face Old Dominion and High Point in Double Dual Race

NORFOLK, Va. – Temple women's rowing will hit the road for the first time this spring season as the team travels to Norfolk, Va. to compete in the Old Dominion Double Duals. The Monarchs will play host to Temple and fellow MAC conference member High Point. The races will be held on the Lafayette River.
The Owls made great progress in the first event of the spring last Saturday at the Temple Invite. Temple finished within the top three in five races throughout the day, notably the varsity eight boat. The V8, coxswained by Eve Keesecker, finished in second place in the morning session and posted a time of 6:31.51 and third in the afternoon with a 6:35.32. In both races, the Owls were able to finish before MAC competitor Delaware. In fact, Temple finished before the Blue Hens in the V4 and second V8.
Saturday will feature two racing sessions for Temple. The morning races will begin at 8:00 am as the Owls and Monarchs square off. Later in the day, Temple and High Point will go head-to-head beginning at 1:00 PM. The anticipated starting lineups and times for each boat are listed below.

The Owls will compete next weekend at the Knecht Cup Regatta in New Jersey. The two-day event, starting on Saturday, April 11 will be held on the Cooper River.
