Women’s Rowing Sweeps at Old Dominion Double Duals

NORFOLK, Va. – Temple women's rowing dominated in today's Old Dominion Double Duals and won all eight of the races they took part in.
Not only did the Owls beat Old Dominion in four races, but they topped MAC member High Point in resounding fashion. The Owls topped the Panthers by just over 33 seconds in the 2nd varsity eight boat, as Temple finished in 7:33.25. Temple also held a 41 second lead while crossing the finish line in the 2nd varsity four against High Point.
Against Old Dominion, Temple finished first in thrilling fashion in the varsity eight. The Owls crossed the finish line just 0.42 seconds before the Monarchs. The 2V4 continued its dominant day and topped Old Dominion in what was the most lopsided finish of the day. Temple finished 54 seconds faster than ODU in that specific race.

The Owls will compete next weekend at the Knecht Cup Regatta in New Jersey. The two-day event, starting on Saturday, April 11 will be held on the Cooper River.
