Golf Team Concludes Three-Day Tournament in North Carolina

SNOW HILL, N.C. - The Temple University men's golf program wrapped up its three-day, 54-hole tournament in North Carolina on Sunday, with the Owls improving on their Saturday score by an impressive 18 strokes. Senior Aidan Emmerich posted the top score by an Owl all weekend with a one-under par score of 71, and finished in 14th place individually.

- Emmerich carded three birdies and two bogeys on his 18-hole round, and went one-under par on the front nine including eight pars.
- As a team, the Owls remained in ninth place overall and totaled 292 - one stroke shy of the 291 they posted on Friday.
- Junior Ben Saggers put together his top round as an Owl with an even-par 72 that included three birdies on the front nine en route to a two-under par 34.
- Emmerich, Saggers, senior Jake Naese and sophomore Mason Tome each moved up the individual leaderboard on Sunday - with Saggers' jump of 15 spots the largest.
- As a team, Temple tied for fifth with 49 birdies over three days and was one of only three teams with multiple eagles (2).
- Campbell and East Carolina finished as co-champions of the event, while Elon's William Carr earned a one-shot victory individually over Joachim Larsen Tegner of Campbell.
- The Owls will have a two-week break before returning to action on April 11-12 at the Princeton Invitational in New Jersey.
