Oymann Wins Prestigious Norman and Ruth Sun Award

PHILADELPHIA – Senior foilist Renee Oymann has been awarded the Norman and Ruth Sun Memorial Award in Economics.  

The Norman and Ruth Sun Memorial Award in Economics was established at Temple University in memory of Professor Norman Sun and his Wife, Ruth. This award is given to College of Liberal Arts students majoring in economics in recognition of their outstanding scholastic record and strong leadership qualities. Renee was named to the 2023 and 2024 USFCA All-Academic Team, as well as being a 2025 USFCA All-Regional Honorable Mention. She also recently won the NIWFA Academic Award, which she was awarded at the NIWFA Championships last weekend in Madison, NJ. 

Renee will graduate in May with a degree in Economics and minors in Psychology and Statistical Science & Data Analytics.
