Men's Crew Secures Bergen Cup for Second Consecutive Season

PHILADELPHIA - Facing three city rivals on its home course, Temple men's crew earned wins over three nationally-ranked foes to win the Bergen Cup for the second straight year on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The No. 18 Owls' varsity eight crossed the finish line in 5:40.3 to defeat No. 16 Drexel by nearly three seconds.
No. 21 La Salle closed in third, while No. 25 Saint Joseph's finished fourth.
Two more nationally-ranked Temple boats finished third in their races, as Drexel and La Salle secured first and second, respectively.
The fourth varsity eight also closed in fourth place, with two crews from Drexel taking first and second.
Prior to racing, the program recognized eight seniors for their dedication and commitment to the program: Sebastian Rawson, Ryan Brady, Stephen Gloyd, Gavin Anderson, Andrew Farkas, Lukas Wojciechowski, Konstantin Kluge and Vincent Hickman.
In addition, a brief ring ceremony was held in honor of the 2025 varsity eight winning a Dad Vail title.
