Women's Lacrosse Travels to Nashville for American Conference Semifinal Against USF

PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's lacrosse opens postseason play against No. 1 seed South Florida on Thursday in Nashville at FirstBank Stadium for the American Athletic Conference Championship. First draw is set for 5:30 p.m. ET. The Owls return to the conference tournament after missing the past two seasons, last appearing in 2022.
OWLS IN THE NEST
Temple closed the regular season at 12–4, riding a four-game winning streak while averaging 13 goals per game over that span. In the regular season finale, an 11–6 win over Drexel, Brooke Mazzei and Lexi Culp led the Owls with three goals each.
The Owls lead the conference in scoring defense and save percentage, anchored by senior goalkeeper Riley Horoshko. Horoshko finished the regular season ranked first nationally with a .527 save percentage and 13th in goals-against average (8.25).
Offensively, Temple ranks third in the conference, led by graduate student Amelia Wright and senior Lexi Culp. Defensively, the Owls rank third in both caused turnovers and ground balls.
Kaitlyn Stankavage has been a key contributor on defense, finishing the regular season ranked sixth in the conference in ground balls, ninth in draw controls, and fourth in caused turnovers.

South Florida holds a 2–0 all-time advantage over Temple, including an 11–10 win earlier this season. Thursday's matchup marks the first postseason meeting between the two programs.
