PHILADELPHIA – Temple University head gymnastics coach Hilary Steele has resigned from her position to accept the head coaching position at another institution, Vice President and Stanley & Debbie Lefkowitz '65 Director of Athletics Arthur Johnson announced Tuesday.

"We would like to thank Hilary for her dedication and service to Temple and our gymnasts over the past three seasons," Johnson said. "We wish her the best in the future."

"I am incredibly grateful to Temple University, our student-athletes, staff, alumni and fans for the opportunity to lead this program," Steele said. "I will always appreciate the relationships we built and wish the Owls continued success in the future."

Brittney Miller, one of two Temple assistant coaches to earn EAGL Assistant Coach of the Year honors, has been named interim head coach for the 2027 season. Miller has served as an assistant coach for the Owls since 2023 and previously spent time as an assistant at the University of Pennsylvania and at the University of Pittsburgh.

A four-year letterwinner and two-time first-team All-Big 12 honoree at the University of Nebraska, Miller also has extensive club coaching experience, including stops at Precision Gymnastics, Silvia's Gymnastics, and Liberty Bell Athletics.
