Owls Open 2026 Season With 4th Annual Temple Invitational
9.3.26 | Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country
PHILADELPHIA - The Temple Owls will open their cross-country season Friday, September 4th by hosting the 4th Annual Temple Owls Cross Country Invitational. The invitational will be held at Temple University's Ambler Campus. There will also be six high school teams competing prior to the collegiate runs.
The women's race will begin at 5pm, followed by the men's race at 5:30pm. The Owls will be running against Rider, NJIT, Seton Hall, Loyola Maryland.
Running for the women are: Rose Tuomisto, Rian Johnson, Dagny Shiffler, Emilie Creighton, Madeline O'Donnell, Mia Rasca, Olivia Digateano, María Estévez-Vázquez
Running for the men are: Nasir Bakari, Francesco Candiani, Elijah Case, Oliver Funck, Zach Greene, Kasem Kaheal, Liam Novak, Myles Munro, Charles Rizek, Simeon Shappell-Smith
Following the men's race, seniors Noé Sengel, Naasir Bakari, and Simeon Shappell-Smith will be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the program, both athletically and academically.

The men are back in action September 18th where they will travel to Huntsville, Ala., to compete in the Southern Showcase. While the women will travel to Montgomery, N.Y. on the 19th to compete in the Jasper Fall XC Invitational.
