Jacob Ricketts
Jacob Ricketts joined Temple Football’s strength and conditioning staff in 2019 following two years as assistant director of strength and conditioning at Northern Illinois University. He was promoted to Associate Director of Football Sports Performance and Applied Science in 2021.

Ricketts joined the Owls after spending three years at NIU rising quickly in a variety of positions. He began as an intern with Brad Ohrt and the NIU strength staff. After four months, Ricketts was promoted to sports performance graduate assistant and earned his master’s degree from NIU in sports management. After a year, he was promoted to assistant director of sports performance for the Huskies. He spent two years at this position working directly with the NIU student-athletes.

Before NIU, Ricketts spent the summer 2015 working at Stanford as a sports performance intern. He also interned in the strength and conditioning staff at Montana State University the previous summer.
 
Ricketts is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) and is a member of the organization. 

A native of Rochelle, Illinois, he graduated from University of Dubuque with a bachelor’s degree in health wellness exercise science and also played football. Ricketts lives in Somerdale, N.J., with his wife, Mackenzie, and son, Cullen
