Shawn Bryson
Shawn Bryson enters his first season as a graduate assistant coach at Temple University.
 
In 2012, Bryson worked as the National Football League intern and fullbacks coach at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
 
Bryson guided sophomore Isaiah Whitaker to All-SAC honors for the second straight year in 2012.  The fullbacks combined to rush for 1,679 yards this past fall and were an integral part of the Bears' rushing offense that finished second in the nation (376.2 ypg).
 
Bryson is a former NFL player and star running back for the University of Tennessee (1995-98).
With the Volunteers, Bryson rushed for 505 career yards and eight scores. He captained the 1998 NCAA Division I National Championship Team en route to an undefeated season.
 
As a player in the National Football League, Bryson suited up for Buffalo (2000-02) and Detroit (2003-06) and finished his professional career with 2,144 yards rushing and six touchdowns. Bryson, a 1999 third round draft pick, led the Bills in rushing in 2000 with 591 yards and topped the Lions’ squad during the 2003 season with 606 yards on the ground.
 
Bryson, a native of Franklin, N.C., graduated from Tennessee in December 2011 with a bachelor's degree in political science.
 
Bryson, 36, and his wife Stephanie have two children, Jaelyn (6) and Channing (3). Bryson also has a daughter Autumn (16).

He is pursuing a master’s degree in adult and organizational development.
