Suffered a fracture in his cervical spine in practice prior to the season opener ... missed the entire 2007 season ... suffered no paralysis ... expected to make a full recovery.

College:
Played the 2004 and 2005 seasons at Maine under head coach Jack Cosgrove ... played in 10 games as a true freshman in 2004, rushing 19 times for 103 yards, while returning six kickoffs for 109 yards ... led team with a 5.4 yards per carry average ... served as the primary backup to Marcus Williams, the school[apos]s all-time leading rusher ... in 2005, sustained an injury in the preseason and was sidelined.

High School:
A 2004 graduate of Eden (N.Y.) Senior HS ... amassed 5,138 career rushing yards with 70 touchdowns in three seasons under head coach Douglas Beetow ... first-team All-State selection who won the Connolly Cup as the best player in Western New York as a senior ... had seven 200-plus yard rushing games in 2003, tying for the eighth most in state history, en route to 224 points ... carried 293 times for 2,363 yards and 37 TDs as a senior and 200 times for 1,458 yards as a junior to earn division offensive MVP honors both seasons ... competed in the 2004 New York-New Jersey Governor[apos]s Bowl ... won the Division II state 100m title and earned all-division on the track all four years.
