Kevin Gross, a four-time Dad Vail champion as a member of Temple's Varsity 8, enters his second season as assistant men's crew coach for Temple. Gross rowed for the Owls from 1994-98. During his time with the Owls, Gross' Varsity 8 crew won four straight Dad Vail Regatta titles and also won the 1996 Augusta Invitational. Gross also helped the Cherry and White to their 15th consecutive Bergen Cup and ninth Murphy Cup titles. Gross also excelled in the academic arena, graduating magna cum laude in 1999 with a degree in nursing. He received the Temple University Alumnae Award for excellence in academic and clinical nursing, and potential for leadership. Gross also was an honorable mention Acres of Diamonds community service award honoree. He went on to earn a MBA in Health Administration from Temple University Fox School of Business in 2005. The Philadelphia native graduated from Father Judge High School, where he was an All-Catholic League Swimmer and three-year member of the crew team.
