Matt Teesdale, a standout performer for the Temple Golf team from 2012 through 2015, joined the Owls staff as an assistant coach in October, 2015

The Horsham, Pa. native was the team's third best golfer his final two seasons, posting a 75.6 stroke average as a senior and a 75.1 average as a junior.  He placed second on the squad as a sophomore with a career-best 74.4 stroke average.

Teesdale, who won the Philadelphia area's prestigious Open Championship in 2014, registered four Top 10 finishes, and tied teammate Brandon Matthews for the 2013 Princeton Invitational title with a four-under par 209.  He also advanced to match play at the 2014 U.S. Amateur Championship.
