Jeff Pflaumbaum is entering his first season as the throwing coach for the Temple Men’s and Women’s Track & Field teams.
A 1998 graduate of North Carolina State, Pflaumbaum spent the last four years as an assistant coach at St. John’s Prep in Danvers, Mass. and the last three as the head cross-country coach at Gann Academy in Waltham, Mass.. In 11 seasons, Pflaumbaum coached on nine conference championship teams, two of which as head coach. He also coached 11 conference champions, 28 state qualifiers, and back-to-back State Championships in the discus relay (2010, 2011). Pflaumbaum was also instrumental in developing the weight throw as a high school event in the state of Massachusetts.
As a thrower at NC State, Pflaumbaum was an All-ACC discus thrower and NCAA qualifier in the 35 lb. weight throw.
