Cheyenne Curley enters her first season with Temple women's basketball after joining the program as an assistant coach in April 2022.
 
During Coach Curley’s second year at Temple, she helped lead the team to the 2023-2024 American Athletic Championship. The Owl’s finished the season with a conference record of 13-5.

Curley, a 2021 Women's Basketball Coaches Association Thirty Under 30 honoree, comes to Temple after spending the last seven seasons at Towson University, three of the seven as an assistant coach on the women's basketball staff. 

During the 2020-21 season, Curley primarily worked with the Tigers’ guards. She saw Kionna Jeter finish her collegiate career averaging 23.0 points per game to rank 10th in the country and first in CAA. Jeter reached 20+ points in 13 games and has tallied 30+ points six times during the season. She also scored doubles in 19 games. The redshirt senior recorded 1,582 points to rank third overall on the Towson University women's basketball all-time scoring list. 
 
Curley worked with sophomore Aleah Nelson, helping to guide her to a stellar first season as a Tiger. Nelson concluded her season ranked eighth nationally and first in the CAA in assists, averaging an impressive 6.5 assists per game. Nelson also accumulated 130 total helpers and ranked 15th in the country and first in the league in total dimes. She also scored 13.5 points per game. Jeter was selected to the All-CAA first team and Nelson earned All-CAA second team honors.  

Curley also saw Jeter become the first player in program history to get selected in the WNBA Draft. Jeter was chosen with the 12th pick in the third round, 36th overall, in the 2021 draft by the Las Vegas Aces. 

After being promoted to assistant coach before the 2019-20 season, Curley began her work with the guards on the team, with Jeter remaining a top three scorer in the CAA. Curley also helped guide Q. Murray to set the second consecutive single-season assist record; Jeter led the league in steals as well.

Curley joined the Towson women's basketball staff in 2014, serving as the director of operations until 2019 when she was elevated to an assistant coach.

Curley joined the Tigers from San Diego City College, where she assisted with on-the-floor coaching during practice and maintained the availability of required sports gear and equipment. She performed administrative and managerial functions and acted as a liaison between the head coach and the players. 

While coaching at San Diego City College, Curley was also working as a residential care worker/supervisor at Varsity Team Inc. There, she supervised troubled foster youth in a residential facility. Curley helped keep records on individual children of daily observations, behavior, activities, and medications administered. She led youth independent living skills training and used her knowledge to provide counseling or therapy for mentally disturbed, delinquent, or handicapped children. 

Further, Curley was a coach/camp coordinator at the I9 Sports program. There she assisted in the planning and organization for youth sports programs. She facilitated and developed the curriculum for camps throughout the year. Curley also instructed and coached youth teams in different sports and provided instruction in general skills. 

Curley earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University in sport management in May of 2013 and a master's degree in business administration in 2018. At Howard, Curley was a four-year starter at point guard who led the Bison to two seasons with 20 or more wins. She helped Howard reach the MEAC Championship game twice and in both of those seasons, the Bison advanced to the postseason. Curley’s play helped Howard earn his first ever Preseason WNIT invitation. Curley led Howard to 24 wins as a junior, which tied the program record for single-season victories. She was ranked in the top 25 in the nation for steals per game and assists per game during her career. She was a team captain who finished her career ranked second in career assists and steals at Howard. She also set the single season assist record for the Bison. She was named the Howard University Female Athlete of the Year for 2012-13.
