Anna Cruse

Anna Cruse joined Temple's staff in August 2018.
Cruse is an accomplished rower both nationally and internationally. She walked on to the team at Minnesota, advancing from the freshman eight to the varsity eight boat in her four-year career. Cruse was named a CRCA and Academic All-Big Ten selection as a sophomore, junior, and senior, and was a CRCA Distinguished Scholar award-winner as a senior.
Cruse continued her rowing career over the summer while in college, winning club nationals in the senior lightweight pair in 2015 and placing third in the lightweight U23 single at 2016 Under 23 trials. Following graduation, she rowed out of Union Boat Club in Boston, Mass., and won Under 23 trials in the lightweight women's quad earning a spot on the 2017 U23 national team. As part of Team USA, Cruse traveled to Plovdiv, Bulgaria to compete at the 2017 Under 23 World Championships, winning the B final, and placing 7th overall.
Following U23 World Championships, Cruse trained out of Riverside Boat Club in Boston, where she placed second at Head of the Charles in the Championship Women's Quad.
Cruse spent the past year working in a physical therapy clinic, working with athletes on returning to sport post injury or surgery. She also served as a coach at Boston University's recreational learn to row program.
A 2017 graduate of the University of Minnesota, Cruse majored in kinesiology with a minor in Nutrition. At Temple, she will be pursuing a masters degree in integrative exercise physiology.
