Cory McMillen joined the Owls as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for women's rowing and fencing in September, 2018. She earned her master's degree in kinesiology with a concentration in athletic training from Temple in 2017.
In the year prior to joining the Temple staff, McMillen worked at ATI Physical Therapy as an outreach athletic trainer for Penncrest High School and Springton Lake Middle School.
While completing her master's, McMillen was a graduate extern at Temple and provided healthcare services to Philadelphia Public Schools. In the fall of 2014, she lived in Alabama and worked with DCH Outreach, the Clinical Skills Lab at the University of Alabama and the Million Dollar Band at the university as well
McMillen is a 2014 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree in athletic training. She served as an athletic training student at Pitt from 2012-14, and was a health care manager at Camp Onas in the summer of 2013.
Since 2014, McMillen has been a BOC certified athletic trainer and currently has licenses in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
McMillen is married to Victor Szwanki, also an assistant athletic trainer at Temple.
