During his time at Milligan his teams were successful both on and off the field. He led the women to two conference championships and the NSCAA Team Academic Award. His 2006 men's team advanced to the NAIA National Championship Quarter-finals after winning both the region and conference championships. During that year, Dixon was recognized as both the NAIA Regional Coach of the Year and the NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year.
Prior to Milligan, Dixon spent four years as the head women's soccer coach at Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi. At Belhaven he led his teams to a record of 52-24-3 and was named NAIA Conference and Regional Coach of the year in 2001. He led that 2001 team to the NAIA National Championship Quarter-finals.
Dixon also spent time as an assistant men's soccer coach at Roberts Wesleyan College where he helped lead the team to the NAIA National Championship Tournament.
Coach Dixon has also been heavily involved in coaching outside of the college game. Last summer Dixon was the head coach for the Mississippi Brilla FC PDL franchise, a development league for college soccer players that are aspiring to play at the professional level. He led the first year franchise to a third place finish in the Mid South Division. During the summer of 2001, Dixon was the assistant coach for the Charlotte Lady Eagles of the W-League. Dixon helped led the Lady Eagles to the W-League National Final, where they defeated the Memphis Mercury to be crowned the W-League National Champions.
Dixon played professional soccer for the Charlotte Eagles of the USL and the Jackson Chargers of the PDL. He played college soccer at Houghton College in Houghton, New York where he was a two-time All-American, two-time All-Region, and a three-time all-Conference performer at goalkeeper. His Houghton teams won three NAIA Regional championships and he participated in the NAIA National Championship Tournament three times.
Dixon resides in Perkasie with his wife Kerri and their daughter Emmelyn (4) and their son Brode (1).
