Michael Hernandez joined the Temple Athletics staff as an assistant athletic trainer in May, 2025.
Hernandez came to Temple from Lincoln University (PA) , where he spent two years as an assistant athletic trainer working with a variety of teams but his primary sports were women’s soccer, women’s basketball, and baseball. During his time with Lincoln University in 2024 he aided with coverage of the East/West Shrine Bowl. He earned his bachelor's degree in Exercises Science in 2021 and Masters in Athletic Training in 2023 both were completed at Idaho State University.
During his program at Idaho State University he completed clinical rotations with Idaho State’s football, women’s soccer and track and field. He would also complete rotation hours at a couple local high school’s.
Hernandez has been a board certified athletic trainer since 2023, and has held a Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine license since 2023. He is a member of both the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers Society.
