For his first-place performance this past weekend, men's cross country junior Matt Kacyon has been named the Under Armour OwlSports.com Athlete of the Week.
Continuing his success this season, Kacyon won the 2014 Ted Owen Invitational on Sept. 27 which was hosted by Central Connecticut State. Kacyon crossed the finish line with a first-place time of 25:50.52 out of 135 competitors, leading the men's team to a third-place finish out of 14 teams. Kacyon's performance is the first individual first-place finish for the Owls since Travis Mahoney won the Mid-Atlantic Regional title at Penn State in 2012.
