After a great showing at the Philadelphia Invitational on Jan. 20, junior Kerry Plunkett of Temple fencing has been named the Under Armour OwlSports.com Athlete of the Week.
Plunkett posted an impressive 9-3 mark in helping the Owls go 3-2 against four Top 10 teams. She went a perfect 3-0 vs. #5 Ohio State and 3-0 against #2 Northwestern, while also turning in a 2-1 showing vs. #9 Penn. Temple defeated #5 Ohio State (15-12) and #9 Penn (16-11), losing only to #2 Northwestern and #3 Columbia.
