A former two-time lacrosse All-American, Kim Lambdin Ciarrocca was Temple's head lacrosse coach. She also starred in field hockey as a goalie and also earned All-American honors twice in that sport. She succeeded Temple Hall of Famer Tina Sloan Green in 1994, as the Owl's lacrosse coach. She has coached Temple into three NCAA tournaments and 15 of her players have been selected as All-Americans. A four-year starter in field hockey, during her time she held the Temple records for most saves in a career (751), most shoutouts in a career (28), and most consecutive shutouts (4). She was a field hockey All-American in 1986 and 1987 and a lacrosse All-American in 1987 and 1988. She was named the 1997 Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year after leading the Owls to a 14-3 record and into the NCAA Final Four.
