Temple Goes Undefeated This Week in A-10 Competition

Philadelphia, Pa (October 17) - Temple Volleyball improved their overall record to 13-4
and the A-10 record to 8-1 after defeating conference foes, LaSalle, Fordham
and Duquesne this week.
The Owls defeated LaSalle 3-0 on Wednesday, October 13 at McGonigle Hall.
Junior Alma Kovaci led the match with 19 kills, and 13 digs. On Friday,
October 15, the Owls shut-out Fordham outscoring them 3-0. Once again, Kovaci
led the team and the match with 11 kills and 13 digs. Saturday, October 16,
Temple finished out this week's competition beating Duquesne's Dukes 3-1.
Kovaci led the Owls with 21 kills, 13 digs and three service aces. Senior
Karla Jones also contributed with 10 kills and 13 digs.
The Owls are on the road this week to square off against Rutgers on
Tuesday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m.in the College Avenue Gymnasium.
Alma Kovaci Tacks 1000 Kills
On Friday, October 15, junior Alma Kovaci from Tirane, Albania hit her
1000th kill in a 3-0 shut-out against the Fordham Rams. In just her third
season with the Owls, Kovaci has entered Temple's All-Time records and is
only 10 digs away from hitting the 1000 mark in digs.
