Owls To Open NCAA Volleyball Tournament vs. Baylor

Philadelphia, Pa. (November 30) -- The Temple University Volleyball team will make its third appearance ever in the NCAA Championship Tournament on Friday (Dec. 3), as the
Owls travel to University Park, Pennsylvania, to face Baylor University at Penn State's Recreation Hall. The first serve is scheduled for 5 p.m. (Eastern Standard
Time).
Temple (25-5), which won the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament with a 3-1 match win over Rhode Island at Temple, enters the post season competition with a
nine match winning streak intact. Under fifth year head-coach Bob Bertucci, the Owls posted a 23-5 mark to win the regular season A-10 title.
Baylor (25-8), is currently ranked No. 22 and this is the first time the program has been ranked. The Bears are coming off its best season in school history and
making its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
If the Owls get past Baylor, they will face the winner of Friday's second match at the Recreation Center between Penn State (30-1) and Robert Morris (19-14)
on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
