Izzolino And Knight Take First Place In 66th NIWFA Invitational

Philadelphia, Pa. (December 8) -- Sophomore Stephanie Izzolino was named the foil champion while junior Marta Knight was named the epee champion at this weekend's 66th annnual NIWFA Invitational Tournament in Teaneck, N.J.

The Owls also had four other fencers place in the competition. In epee, senior Erica WIlder placed 5th while in sabre, freshman Nicole Macomber landed 5th place, sophomore Sara Ironman came in 9th and junior Stacy Weeks placed 29th.

Temple will host the Alumnae Meet on January 8, 1999 in McGonigle Hall at 1:00 p.m. The Owls will compete in the NAC Junior Open at Notre Dame on January 14 at 8:00 a.m.
