Volleyball Tops UMass 3-1

Amherst, Mass. (October 13) - The Temple volleyball team now sports a match record of 10-6, including a perfect 7-0 mark in the Atlantic 10 Conference after posting a road victory over Massachusetts last night three games to one. The game scores were 15-13, 12-15, 15-13 and 15-10 for the Owls.

Temple welcomed the return of senior All-America candidate, Alma Kovaci who led the Owls' attack with 17 kills. Kovaci, who suffered a moderate ankle sprain in a home match against Dayton, stepped back into the lineup after missing the last three matches.

UMass was led by Lymarie Llovet with 13 kills and Rebecca Hanson added 11 kills.

Next up for the Owls a match tonight at Rhode Island. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
