Volleyball Drops Match To Central Florida, 3-0

ORLANDO (November 24) - The Temple volleyball team had its match record dip to 19-11, 13-3 in the Atlantic 10 Conference with a loss to Central Florida three games to none on November 24. The game scores were 9-15, 11-15 and 16-18 for the Owls who are hoping for an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament after losing in the semi-finals of the Atlantic 10 Championship.
Senior All-America candidate Alma Kovaci led Temple with a match-high 23 kills and 20 digs. Fellow senior Brandy Best had nine kills, eight digs and four blocks for the Owls.
UCF was led by a pair of sisters, Sante` and Lindsay Whalen with 15 kills each.
The Owls led in game three but UCF tied the game at 12 before taking the game 18-16 and the match 3-0. Temple finishes the season with a match against Fairfield at Central Florida November 25 at 2:00 p.m.
