Seniors Shine At Fordham on Senior Night as Owls Sweep Rams

Bronx, N.Y. - The Temple volleyball team improved its match record to 16-8, 12-2 in the Atlantic 10 with a win at Fordham, three games to none. The game scores were 15-5, 15-5 and 15-7 for the Owls who closed out the week by posting their third straight victory and spoiling "Senior Night" for the Rams.
Temple was led by its own talented group of seniors. Senior All-America candidate and reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, Alma Kovaci, boomed 17 kills and nine digs. Senior Maria Vutskova added six kills and nine digs while senior setter Teresa Schumacher dished out 31 assists.
Fordham was paced by Melissa Langness (10 kills, six digs) with Kristyn Daly (25 assists) setting things up for the Rams.
Next up for the Owls is a non-conference home match against the Georgetown Hoyas (Wednesday, November 8 at 7:00 p.m.) at McGonigle Hall.
