Volleyball Sweeps Georgetown, Extends Win Streak to Four

Philadelphia - The Temple volleyball team moved its match record to 17-8, 12-2 in the Atlantic 10 Conference with a non-conference home victory over Georgetown at McGonigle Hall, three games to none. The game scores were 15-10, 15-6, 15-5 for the Owls who have won four matches in a row and 14 of their last 16.
Temple was led by senior All-America candidate and the reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, Alma Kovaci with 17 kills and 15 digs. Also posting double figure kill numbers was freshman Margaret Majewska (10 kills, five digs) the current Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week. Setting things up for the Owls was senior setter Teresa Schumacher, who dished out 30 assists for the home team.
Lauren Warner (11 kills, one dig) led Georgetown and setter Jennifer Ward posted 22 assists for the visitors.
Next up for Temple, the final two home matches of season with Rhode Island (Friday, November 10 at 7:00 p.m.) and Massachusetts (Saturday, November 11 at 4:00 p.m.) paying visits to Owl country.
