Kovaci Named Asics All-American Honorable Mention

Philadelphia, Pa.-- Junior Alma Kovaci was recently named as an honorable mention to the Asics All-American team in Volleyball
Magazine. This is Kovaci's first citation as an honorable mention on the Asics All-American team.
As a member of the Owls she has been named All-District during her sophomore and junior years, led the team to three-straight
Atlantic 10 Tournament Championships and was named the 1999 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year.
During the regular season, Kovaci set the NCAA record for the second
highest number of kills in a three-game match registering 38 kills
against George Washington. She is currently ranked #14 in the country in
kills (5.20 per game) and #10 in digs (4.45 per game).
In addition, the
Tirane Albania native has also been named to the Atlantic 10
All-Conference team, the Atlantic 10 All-Tournament team, the Atlantic10 Tournament MVP and a five-time Atlantic 10 Player of
the Week.
