Temple's Upset Bid Over #19 Fresno State Falls Short

Fresno, Calif.-- After putting up a good fight, the Temple baseball team fell to #19 Fresno State in the opening round of the Pepsi/Johnny Quik Classic in Fresno, Calif. The Owls got off to a quick 3-0 start in the first inning thanks in part to a Sam Sabolchick two-run home run. Temple held a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh before the Bulldogs responded with three runs in the inning to take a 5-3 advantage and went on to win the game.

Temple will face Bowling Green tomorrow (Mar. 7) at 4:00 p.m.
