Errol Thurton Runs into the ECAC/IC4A's

Blacksburg, Va. (April 22, 2000) -- Errol Thurton ran to a fifth place finish
in the 200 meter dash at the 2000 Spring Gobbler Invitational, earning himself
a spot in the ECAC/IC4A's. Thurton finished with a time of 21.50, beating the
qualifying time of 21.80.
Kamal Tucker finished 18th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.86. In the
400 meter dash, Andre Turner placed sixth with a time of 49.22. Otis Cheek
finished 18th with a time of 53.26.
In the 110 meter int. hurdles, Tracey Champion brought in an eighth place
finish with a time of 15.42. Champion also finished 12th in the long jump with
a mark of 5.54m 18'02. William Springfield also recorded a 13th place finish
in the long jump with a mark of 5.26m 17'03.
The men's 4*400 meter relay team ran to a third place finish with a time of
3:19.61.
