Temple Fencing to Host 21st Annual Collegiate Open

The Temple Fencing Team will host their 21st Annual Collegiate Open on Saturday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000. It will be a six weapon event open to all full-time, matriculated, undergraduate students.
Women's foil, women's sabre and women's epee will compete on Saturday, Nov. 4. Men's foil, men's sabre and men's epee will compete on Sunday, Nov. 5. Entries will be $20.00 per weapon. All entries must be in writing and postmarked by October 20, 2000. Late entries will be accepted (providing there is still space) by phone and fax up until Nov. 1, 2000, but a $10.00 late fee will be charged per weapon. No late entries should be mailed after Oct. 27.

Women's Foil: 7:30-8:00 a.m. Men's Epee: 7:30-8:00 a.m.
Women's Epee: 10:30-11:00 a.m. Men's Foil: 10:00-10:30 a.m.
Women's Sabre: 1:30-2:00 p.m. Men's Sabre: 12:00-12:30 p.m.
FORMAT: Brazilian Method: (Each fencer is guaranteed two rounds of fencing plus a minimum of one direct elimination match.)
WEAPON'S CHECK: All weapons: Friday, Nov. 3rd 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Sat.-Women's Foil: 7:00-8:00 a.m.; Women's Epee: 10:00-11:00 a.m.; Women's Sabre: 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Sun.-Men's Epee: 7:00-8:00 a.m.; Men's Foil: 9:30-10:30 a.m.; Men's Sabre: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
EQUIPMENT: Every school must bring a complete set of electrical equipment to help ensure a smooth running competition.
Parking will be available next to the gym in Lot #1. The entrance is on 15th Street (behind the gym). There will be a parking attendant on duty both Saturday and Sunday. Please park in the lot when you arrive.
