Amherst, Mass. -- The Temple volleyball team (14-5, 6-3) used a great effort by a pair of sophomores to beat conference foe Massachusetts three games to none on Friday, October 19. The game scores were 30-16, 30-17 and 30-21 for the Owls as they swept the Minutewomen for the second time this season.

Sophomores Yamit Haba and Shu Liu led the Owls attack with 11 kills each. Junior setter Solana Lee dished out 34 assists for Temple.

Nitia Small (six kills) and Celia Wiste (six kills) paced Massachusetts in the home loss.

The Owls continue their current road trip with a match against Rhode Island on Saturday, October 20.
