PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple volleyball team (11-5, 4-3) lost two matches in a row for the first time this season when it lost to Xavier three games to one on Friday, October 5 and Dayton three games to one on Saturday, October 6. The game scores were 27-30, 25-30, 30-27 and 23-30 against the Musketeers and 20-30, 20-30, 30-26 and 31-33 against the Flyers.

In both matches, sophomore Yamit Haba led the Owls attack. Haba had 24 kills and 14 digs against Xavier and 11 kills and 12 digs versus Dayton.

Sara Bachus (24 kills, 11 digs) paced Xavier and Katie Ferriell (26 kills, 10 blocks) led Dayton.

The Owls return home to McGonigle Hall on Friday, October 12 to start Homecoming weekend against Pace and close out the weekend with a battle against conference foe Fordham on Saturday, October 13.
