HABA AND XU NAMED TO THE A-10 ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

Dayton, Ohio--Sophomores Yamit Haba and Yun Xu of the Temple women's volleyball team were named to Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team, it was announced today in Dayton, Ohio at the Atlantic 10 Volleyball Championship banquet.

Haba, an outside hitter, started all 101 games for the Owls this season while leading the team in kills with 329 and digs with 361. Overall, Haba posted an impressive 28 assists, 20 service aces and 31 blocks. In the Atlantic 10, Haba is ranked second in kills with 210 and digs with 236.

Fellow outside hitter Yun Xu played in 74 games for the Owls in 2001 while registering 266 kills, 226 digs, 18 service aces and 21 blocks. Xu was the only Temple volleyball player to be named A-10 player of the week and is ranked 6th in the conference with 208 kills and 8th in digs with 189.

The Owls face first seed Dayton tomorrow, Saturday, November 17 in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Championships being held in Dayton Ohio. Game time is set for 1:30.
