TEMPLE BEATS LA SALLE IN HOME CONFERENCE FINALE

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple volleyball team (17-9, 8-6) won its home conference finale against

La Salle (9-22, 0-15 A-10) three games to one on Tuesday, November 6 at McGonigle Hall. The game scores were 30-19, 30-16, 28-30 and 30-13 for the Owls. Temple out-hit the Explorers .372 to .108.

Sophomores Yun Xu (20 kills, 15 digs) and Yamit Haba (16 kills, 14 digs) led the Temple attack. Fellow sophomore Margaret Majewska and junior Sara Stone contributed for the Owls with 14 kills and 16 digs respectively.

Lauren Woods led LaSalle with 12 kills and Molly Thatcher contributed 11 digs.

The Owls go on a three game road trip to conclude the regular season beginning with a match at Fordham on Friday, November 9th. Temple still has hopes of making the Atlantic Conference Tournament but it will need to play well down the stretch.
