OWLS RAINED OUT ON FRIDAY NIGHT vs. WILLIAM & MARY
The Temple vs. William & Mary first game of a four-game set was cancelled due to rain in Williamsburg, Virginia. The game will
not be rescheduled. The two teams will meet Saturday in and doubleheader and conclude the series on Sunday with a single game.
OWLS SWEPT IN WILLIAMSBURG
The Owls record fell to 0-6 following a three-game sweep by William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
GAME # 4 - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2001
In the first game of a doubleheader, Skip Wilson's squad suffered another ninth inning loss, losing to William & Mary, 4-3. The
Owls took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, tied the game in the seventh, only to lose in the bottom
of the ninth for the second consecutive game. A single and three walks off reliever, Matt Powell, plated the winning run. The Owls fall
to 0-4, while William & Mary is 5-1.

GAME # 5 - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2001
The Owls squandered an early 3-0 lead and lost their fifth straight, 5-4 to William & Mary in the second game of a doubleheader.
It was the Owls third straight one-run loss. Senior centerfielder Bob Filler led the Owls with three hits and Sam Sabolchick gave the
Owls an early two-run lead in the first with a double.
The Owls had a chance in the ninth. Filler doubled leading off the inning and advanced to third on a passed ball. Al Roach then
grounded to first and Filler was nailed trying to score the tying run. The next two Owls went down on strikes as the Owls record
dropped to 0-5. William & Mary improved their record to 6-1.

GAME # 6 - SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2001
The Temple Owls lost for the sixth straight time as William & Mary completed a three-game sweep, winning handily, 11-7 in the
final of the three-game set.
The Owls fell behind, 9-0, after three innings and never caught up. Senior Jeff Rugg suffered his second loss of the young season
for the Owls while Whitt Farr raised his record to 3-1 for the Indians. Keith Ramsey, Kyle Sweppenhiser, Chris Krusen and Jeff
Roma all had two hits for the Owls. Owls second baseman, Jim Tully tripled in two runs for the Owls during a four-run seventh.
Temple takes two weeks off before heading to California for their spring trip.
