Senior Jamie Beecher Named to All-Academic Team

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Senior Jamie Beecher was named to the National

Intercollegiate Women's Fencing Association All-Academic Team. She was one of

only 14 players to make the team and the only one from Temple.

Beecher is having an impressive season for the Owls with a 42-10 foil record.

She also serves as one of the team captains.

Throughout her career at Temple, Beecher has received many honors including

first place at the 1999 and 2000 Temple Open, All-Conference Honors at the

2000 NIWFA and she has qualified for the NCAA championships all three years.

Academically, Beecher has over a 3.9 GPA and is majoring in Early Childhood

Education.
