Powell Named Atlantic 10 Pitcher Of The Week

Senior hurler Greg Powell was named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week for the
week of March 26 through April 1. The Holland, Pa native from Council Rock
High School earned his second consecutive complete game victory in Atlantic 10
play, limiting Rhode Island to one run on four hits, all singles, in Temple
16-1 victory on Sunday, April 1st at Erny Field.
Greg has given up just nine
hits in 18 innings in Atlantic 10 conference play. His complete game victory
improved his record to 2-4. He also earned a save in the Owls 5-0 win over
Philadelphia University earlier in the week.
